Tonya is a Career Advisor for CPA Alberta, located in the Edmonton office. She helps Alberta CPAs and CPA students innovate and design their careers. This includes full cycle job search strategy development (resume reviews, interview preparation, offer negotiations), negotiating promotions & salary increases, performance reviews, increasing career capital with social media & networking, career mapping, community involvement, mentorship, and more. She has 14 years of experience in Talent Management with external search firms and corporate recruitment, specializing in working with all roles in accounting. She has special insights regarding the decision-making thought processes of hiring managers, external search recruiters, and corporate complexities that guide hiring decision making. Additional expertise includes Diversity & Inclusion; addressing conscious and unconscious bias. Tonya has a long history as a public speaker, writer, and advocate of social change and innovation.
There is a fee of only $30.00 and that is to cover breakfast and a mid-morning snack, provided by CPA.
