A message from the City of Edmonton
Black History Month honours the lives and achievements of Black Canadians and recognizes the contributions they make to our communities. It is also a time to build bridges between communities by learning more about the histories, cultures and traditions of Black communities in Edmonton and Canada.
The City of Edmonton as an organization, and as a city, is joining various community-based organizations in recognizing #BHM2023 by supporting their activities and events throughout the month. The 2023 national theme for Black History month is “Ours to Tell.” Check out some of the local stories and activities that mark Canada’s 28th official recognition.
