Around the world, thousands of fans follow their national soccer teams with passion. Sport plays an important role in many communities as one of the great ‘connectors’ and has proven to be a successful way to help integrate and connect diverse communities.
We at ERIEC are committed to addressing the needs of our clients, especially when it comes to networking and integration. It’s a ‘fast pace’ working environment out there so we need to develop fast track employment solutions. How about if we were to add some fun to these solutions?
A fun idea related to new networking models came to us through a proposal developed by the FC Edmonton Soccer Club. The Club offered to host a pre-game Speed Career Networking event with a soccer game to be enjoyed immediately afterwards.
ERIEC NETWORKING MIXER and FC EdmontonSunday, October 27, 2013 FC Edmonton vs. Tampa Bay – Clarke Stadium
At the ERIEC networking mixer, attendees will come and enjoy an early entrance starting at 12:00pm Noon for a Pre-Game networking mixer and lunch. The Pre-Game Networking Mixer will run from 12:00pm – 2:00pm located in outdoor hospitality tents at the stadium.
Mentees (internationally trained professionals) will have the opportunity to network with Mentors (employers from various Edmonton businesses) and vice versa. Following the networking event, attendees will be directed to their seats to enjoy the FC Edmonton soccer game action against the Tampa Bay Rowdies.
The Ticket Package – The tickets are $25 each and include a lunch (hamburger or hot dog, chips and a soft drink) and a ticket to the game.
Soccer being the world’s greatest game is a great reason to bring people together to celebrate and to build social cohesion. It’s also an excellent way in which ERIEC and sponsoring businesses can help to integrate new Canadian professionals into the local culture by using soccer as the vehicle!
