TCLI Foundation's Believe and Rise Program

TCLI Foundation is a Black-led non-profit organization in Alberta, Canada focused on supporting social and economic growth in newcomer and visible minority families and communities through education and social interventions.

BELIEVE and RISE:

Believe and Rise seeks to empower visible minority families, newcomers, and Canadians to be financially empowered and experience good mental health as a result of having financial security and also being able to make good financial decisions due to good mental health. The program will provide robust and holistic financial and mental health education. Mental health workshops will also be conducted to help clients see the impact their financial well-being has on their mental well-being and access to mental health resources provided to support them.

The program will aim to deliver:

  • Financial responsibility: teaching basic financial literacy skills that will serve them in building a financially stable life
  • Self-development: how to leverage resources available online and in physical libraries to develop themselves and set career and life goals with practical mentorship sessions from professionals from different walks of life
  • Holistic living: promote a holistic approach to healthy living inclusive of physical, emotional, and mental health
