Founded in 2008, WiSER (Women in Science, Engineering & Research) is a a not-for-profit group and sub-community of WISEST at the University of Alberta aimed at serving the needs of graduate students and early-career professionals. The community is comprised of individuals in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) from the academia, government, and industry. WISER supports the retention and advancement of women and under-represented groups in STEM careers by providing opportunities for networking, mentoring, information exchange, and professional development. To this end, WISER encourages participation of everyone in order to promote the awareness of gender diversity and inclusion.
Our mandate is to support the retention and advancement of women and under-represented individuals in STEM.
WiSER is hosting a virtual scavenger hunt for WinSTEM week 2021!
Join us to play games, solve clues, answer trivia, and more! And the best part, everything will be women in STEM themed. We will all meet together virtually, and individually go through different rounds to gain points and move onto the next challenge. If you win, you'll get some awesome prizes!
Fee: $6.32
The registration fee ($5) will be refunded to those who attend the event. The Eventbrite fee ($1.32) is non-refundable.
